Introduction: If you enjoy reminiscing about the past (and who doesn't), then this
photo-driven section may warrant your attention. From time-to-time, we'll turn the clock
back and focus on some small facet of the railroad scene. These brief profiles are intended
to provide a historic perspective to the evolution of railroading and motive power technologies.
These trips back to yesterday's railroading are possible thanks to the efforts of photographers
who took the time to document the events of the past six transition decades.
