This is a brand new feature aimed at helping the touring railfan find the slowly shrinking number of First Generation Diesels. Locomotive models profiled here will include operationally active units, as well as those on permanent display /storage. The plan is start with Alco and MLW-built models and expand from there into Baldwin, Fairbanks-Morse, EMD,and GE.
If you have a favorite model/builder, etc. that you would like to see
featured in the future, please let us know. Conversely, if you've already produced a
list and are interested in sharing it with others, it would be good to
hear from you. (Proper credit for the work will be given.) Of course, corrections
and additions to these listings are always appreciated. Thank you!
